Treatments
We offer many treatments, including:
Sports Massage Therapy
1hr and over
Sports Therapy Massage is a more intensive version of Swedish massage using deep tissue techniques specifically designed to prevent and treat sports injuries to muscles and tendons. I work on the full problem areas from origin of the muscle through the muscle to and including the insertion of the muscular area. A Sports Therapy Massage generally concentrates on a specific problem area. For example, if we work on your upper arm we will work from the shoulder and surrounding area to the forearm working on all the muscles involved.
Deep tissue Massage
1hr
Deep Tissue Massage focuses on deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. Deep Tissue Massage uses the same strokes as in holistic massage but the movement is slower and deeper. At some point during the massage most people feel some discomfort and there is usually some soreness after the massage.

Myofascial Release
1hr
Myofascial release is a massage treatment that attempts to release tension in the fascia due to trauma, posture, or inflammation. Connective tissues called fascia surround the muscles, bones, nerves, and organs of the body. Points of restriction in the fascia can place a great deal of pressure on nerves and muscles causing chronic pain. Practitioners of myofascial release employ long stretching strokes meant to balance tissue and muscle mechanics and improve joint range of motion in order to relieve pain.
Rehabilitation Massage (after surgery or injury)
1hr
A more focused massage used to revive the body to good health and alleviate pain following an injury or surgery.

Reflexology
Reflexology is based on the theory that all areas of the body correspond with and can be mapped onto areas of the hands and feet. Typically, the feet are used in reflexology, but in some circumstances, the hands or ears may be used.

Restorative Massage
1hr
Given during and between training periods before an event to allow an athlete to train harder in preparation for the next event with less chance of injury.

Pre-Event Massage
30 mins to 1hr
Before an event concentrating on warming up and improving blood flow to the areas of the body used during the event.
